I love the sounds of an aeroplane. The roar of the engines, the bang of the wheels retracting, the motors running that extend the wing flaps for take-off and the wind whistling past etc etc Of all the aircraft noises I hate the most, it’s the sound of slamming overhead bin doors! What do you think of Chinotto?
Whenever I visit an Italian restaurant, I enjoy drinking Chinotto. Chinotto is a carbonated soft drink made from the juice of the fruit of the myrtle-leaved orange tree This tree is believed to be a mutation from the sour orange. The result is a dark coloured drink which looks similar to Coca Cola but with a completely unique bitter-sweet taste. Flying Air Asia Soon
In my airline ranking of last year, I placed Air Asia in my worst airline list. This caused some controversy! Air Asia are one of the world’s fastest growing carriers operating to 88 destinations in 26 countries from its base in Kuala Lumpur. Originally started in 1996, they were taken over by current CEO Tony Fernandes in 2001. They have the world’s lowest operating costs of any airline and have been awarded one of the world’s best low fare carriers by Skytrax in 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010 and 2009. The investigation led by the U.K’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch into the fire on the Ethiopian Airlines 787 in London is continuing. Initial indications suggesred the fire began in the area of the Emergency Locator Transmitter ( (ELT). Inspections have been made subsequently, on the Honeywell manufactured ELTs across the 787 fleets. The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Transport Canada, the aviation regulator iin that country inspected one of the Honeywell facilities that manufacture the ELT, near Toronto.
