The hyperloop concept was unveiled earlier in 2013. It involves sitting in a capsule and being “fired” down a pressurised tube between two cities at 1100km/h (660pmh). On Thursday a company “Hyperloop Transportation Technologies Inc” was established to have a prototype running by the end of 2015. The company is using a crowd source model to complete the work. 130 people have indicated an interest in company leadership. One of my never fulfilled dreams was to fly the Concorde from London to New York! One of the most beautiful planes I have ever seen with all of its accompanying mystique and prestige. As mentioned yesterday, it is 11 years since Concorde last flew. Sadly, the closest I have ever got to Concorde was at the Seattle air museum, Heathrow airport and CDG airport in Paris. I have the germ of an idea of going to visit all of the remaining Concordes around the world. As most are in the UK and France, that should not be too hard!
