Mileage Run- with Qantas Double Status Credits help!

My membership year for Qantas finishes soon. I  had intended to keep my Qantas Gold Status for another year. With Qantas announcing, their double status credit promotion last week, this changed. Enticed by the earning of double the number of status credits on every flight booked between now and May 4th for travel until 16th April, 2o17, I began a stocktake of my miles situation. My First 787 flight is booked

It has taken a while but I am finally going to fly on a 787!  I am booked in mid-June for the three hour 15 minute Trans Tasman hop from Sydney, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand in LAN’s Premium Business Class. “Flyadeal” to Fly – Saudia’s new Airline marks shakeup in Kingdom’s air carriers

What do you think of the name “Flyadeal”? Flyadeal is the name of a new budget airline that will launch in Saudi Arabia in mid 2017. Owned by the country’s flag carrier Saudia, the new airline will fly both domestic and international routes from a hub in Jeddah using Airbus A320s. Saudia are saying they want to take advantage of rising tourist numbers in the Kingdom. London renames underground stations for Shakespeare’s 400th

To mark the 400th anniversary on Saturday April 23rd of William Shakespeare’s death a special edition Tube map has been produced. The 14 Underground lines with their 367 stations have all  been replaced with characters and plays from Shakespeare’s works, along with play locations, actors and patrons: Bakerloo Line: Heroines Line Central Line: Lovers Line District Line: Servants and Friends Jubilee Line:  Fathers and Kings Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are interchange stations on the Northern Line. Westminster station near the UK Houses of Parliament is known as King Lear. Tesla vs 737 race- amazing video

Have you seen this amazing video of a Tesla racing a Qantas 737? Tesla Motors Australia arranged the race with Qantas at Melbourne’s Avalon airport. Getting Exercise- A walking guide to world airports

I don’t like spending much time in airports. Every minute in an airport feels like a minute wasted! I mentioned last week, however, that I use spare time in airports to help build fitness whilst flying by using the experience to build toward my 7 to 10 thousand daily step goal. I even sacrifice riding in the airport shuttle trains to achieve this. As a train nut, this is a sacrifice! Walking also enables me to  people watch and plane spot.
